Odilia is a social worker on a mission to save a man’s life who is fleeing deportation in the borderlands. She is met by a mysterious figure and gets thrust into the Middle Ground, a space inhabited by Esqueletos. Before the sun rises, Odilia must uncover the secret to life to save her own.
